The fifth and final installment of...
All Pods Go To Roswell!!

When we last saw our intrepid explorers (that would be Lisa, Stephanie, and Spacepod), they were trailing home from yet another successful adventure in Roswell, New Mexico. The web cam was better than ever (and fully latex-enabled); the live blogging from the car was a revolution in communication with our devoted fans, and Lisa even won an award!

So how the heck are we going to top that? How are we going to go out with a bang? Here's the plan.

Step 1: Form Team Allpods. Our co-pilot this year is going to be none other than Dan LaMee, videographer extraordinare, computer geek, mac fan, and design guru. It's like I cloned me and sent the clone off to live in South Carolina and be a guy. Except that Dan's a better programmer than I am, so that means we'll have some extra-special goodies on the site, such as...

spacepod Step 2: Track The Caravan. New this year-- Spacepod's March. Inspired by the work of Charles Minard, we'll be tracking each car that joins us on the Eastern caravan. Look for the raft of colourful bars at the bottom of the page for each day.
Step 4: Increase Allpods Awareness. David's going to give us a booth! With my recent acquisition of a particularly compact and stylish desktop computer, we should be able to have some interesting stuff happening at the booth-- like showing the video shot in previous years, and lots of artifacts collected over the years. A sort of "museum of r2k", if you will. We need volunteers to man the booth! All you need is a smile!

Step 3: Podvision! podvision As always, the webcams will be with us the whole way through, from the time we leave the Carolinas until the car show is over on Saturday. Find out more!

Step 5: Document, Document, Document! We'll be trying to interview lots of folks on video-- especially the folks we interviewed the first year. We'd like to see how things have changed over the years.
Love to my co-pilots!!
