The first beetle person i ever met was Russ Anthony. He took me to a DCNB meet, and in the lobby of a science museum in Baltimore, I met Steve Meister and John Steele.
I wish I could have had Russ in that final cam picture. We couldn't raise him on the radio in time. That would have been perfect, since Steve and John were there too.
But tonight at the party they were all three there. That was good, that we were all still coming to Roswell, four of the people to make the whole thing happen that first year, to travel on the caravan together, to lead the caravan and run the crazy web cams.
Hi there, I am a local and just wanted to tell you all how much we enjoy you guys coming to Roswell. You are wonderful people and fun to visit with. Hope you keep coming back. I was at the car show, Clubhouse and awards. I also look forward to getting my new beetle this year.
