On the road again

We're heading out of Nashville now. This is who's with us:

Cet and Cleo
Lisa and Stephanie and Spacepod
The blue with the nitrous from CT
The father and son in the blue NB from CT
Steve in the silver convertible
Charles in Shift (the color-changer)
BJ, Ollie, and Maria in Rodney with the teardrop trailer

Seven bugs in all -- a nice little caravan!

As you may have noticed, we had a little issue with the roof cam. I was adjusting it and closed the roof on the cable, pulling the cam out of its holder and breaking a small plastic piece on the holder. I quickly got the backup cam on the roof, and it was adjusted perfectly already. (Yes, I had my head out the sunroof at 65 mph -- it was cool!)

We got a phone call from Terry of Yellow Fever last night. Unfortunately, he can't join us this year, as he has a new job that's taking up all of his time, but he's probably going to meet us for lunch today.

Hey,

If you guys can get ahold of Beej & Ollie, have them try to get a good pic of the trailer in tow would ya? like off the side of the car, your hood cam.

I am really enjoying watching the progress of this carabug. Wishing/Deaming I was there with you guys.

DRIVE SAFE!!!!

Also, I have noticed that your camera is actually taking a picture every 30 seconds, is there a way to get the site to automatically refresh at that interval, instead of every minute?

I would hate to miss a good pic, just because I missed a refresh...

look out!
an alien is about to abduct willie and his condom!!

Eeyore, we'll get the message to beej and ollie... and we'll also try to get them in our cam for a while this afternoon.

We realized we were at every 30s sometime this morning-- that was a mistake, it's too frequent, can clog up our internet connection. We've bumped it back down to once a minute. Good catch :) You can also go watch the slideshow at any time and see all pics that have been taken so far-- every pic is immediately available from the slideshow.

Glad you're enjoying the show!

The color changer? Can you point me to a site about this?

Posted by: Jason! on June 18, 2003 03:06 PM

Jason... I don't know of a site to point you to. I can get more specific info from Charles if you want such as the brand name and color name of the paint. It's hard to tell from the cams, but it's a ruby red/orange color changer. the custom paint work is flawless on this car and it's quite stunning.

Anyway, lemme know what you want to know and I'll try to find out.

Hi Lisa,
As usual, I'm entirely impressed with your technology implementation!

You'll be glad to know that I shared your creative latex solution with Curt.

I'm off on vacation for the next few days, but I'll be looking forward to seeing more of the exciting adventure when I return.

Have a terrific and safe ("I'm a safety girl." Julia Roberts - aka Vivian - in Pretty Woman) time.

Jerry
