durham, nc to silver spring, md. goodbye to fred rosberry.

today we said goodbye to my grandfather, fred rosberry. we also drove a lot, hung out with the family, and ate some really good seafood.

i've gotta say that it was really nice to be with the family, see some cousins i haven't seen in a few years, meet my uncle rick's fiancee.

after the service and a little more time back at the house, craig and i took off toward the airport in search of a place to stay. rather indirectly landed in annapolis which turned out to be perfect. woman at the hotel recommended a fantastic seafood place, one of those places on the water that's vast, fast, and very good. we hadn't really eaten all day (and a long and taxing day it was) and it hit the old spot. (Mike's in Annapolis. try it if you're ever there.)

as i contemplate a more efficient way to pack my bags for tomorrow's plane ride, i think about the euology that my uncle bill gave. "He's up there with a graph and a chart, turning off lights and fans, and telling our heavenly father that it's a waste to leave them on." that's the fred rosberry legacy i guess... the constant search for the most efficient way to accomplish the daily tasks of life.

well i'm excited to be going to roswell tomorrow. whee!!! i think the hard part is over and the fun part is about to begin.

oh, mom said that my uncle's friend mike was very intrigued by the allpods project. mike, if you are checking out the site, feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions.
