[ The itinerary is here. ]all day saturday, i was pretty stressed. i normally enjoy being at the hair salon because the guy who does my hair is a lot of fun, but it was hard to sit still and relax with all the stuff still left to do. sunday morning, got the car packed up for the beach then started to set up the spacepod cam for a "dress rehearsal". immediately encountered a hardware problem AND a software problem which i had to find creative solutions to before i could go-- one hour delay-- augh! but that's why we have dress rehearsals, right? the first two cam uploads basically failed, and i could tell there was something not right with my script. the time for the third upload was getting close while i was going through jacksonville, and i could see that i had a really strong cell signal so i pulled over and manually ran the upload program. ah-ha! i could see what had been wrong with my script and came up with a solution on the spot. the upload went beautifully, though i am sure no one was watching the cam by that time. worked my butt off all day claying & waxing spacepod, and detailing the interior. that was, amazingly, the most relaxing thing i had done in a long time. just listening to the wind chimes blow in the wind, finally giving spacepod the attention he deserves. i was totally exhausted by the end of the day, but in a good way. the car looks darn good, i was able to take care of some errands on my way home from the beach, and although i have a lot left to do, i feel relaxed and ready to get it all done. i guess there is nothing like the night's sleep you get at your mom's house, no matter how old you are :)
11pm update: i'm pretty sure i should be in bed by now :) but there's still some things to do...

Wow!! I love this website, I am keeping up with where you guys are today. I am sitting here in Clovis, New Mexico anxiously waiting for Friday to come. I am only 2hours north of Roswell, so I do not get to do all of this fun caravaning. Oh well!! Good luck on your adventure!!
